I love gardening! I am so fortunate to be able to
garden here in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. In the
winter it is so amazing to walk outside into the snow and then open a door and
walk into the tropical paradise of my greenhouse. Time evades me
there.
I am active in the Leicester Garden Club and
the Buncombe County Master Gardeners. I teach classes in "hypertufa" and
making "living wreaths".
Making a living wreath "might be" my
favorite thing to do and yet I love to plant seeds and check them constantly to
see if they have germinated. I also enjoy taking cuttings and sticking
them. It is amazing to see the roots when they are lifted for
potting.
I have much better results in the greenhouse
than outside.There are the cutest little rabbits and a big gorgeous peacock and
his hen that love the tender little plants when I plant them in my raised beds
outside.
I guess I'll just have to plant enough to
share.
